Jim Houck, Partner, Writer, Executive Producer

Jim Houck started in advertising in 1991 at an unknown ad agency called Crispin & Porter (C&P) and partnered with a young art director named Alex Bogusky.  Together with the 10-person creative staff they worked to get the local Miami agency regional attention in the awards circuit.  At the time the C&P billed in the neighborhood of $17 million dollars.  During his five stints at the agency from 1991 to 2007, Jim helped to build the agency into what is today; Crispin, Porter & Bogusky; rated numerous times as the Global Agency of the Year by Creativity Magazine, the world's leading advertising publication, billing over $1 billion dollars a year, with blue-chip clients like; Burger King, Volkswagen, Coke, Dominos Pizza and Microsoft.  Jim has won every major, international advertising award including; One Show, Clio, Cannes Lions, and International ANDYS.  Jim also has 14 years experience in Hollywood working as a screenplay and teleplay writer and has scripted and sold original feature screenplays and teleplay pilots to Universal Studios, Universal TV/USA Network and Sony/UPN respectively.  He is a life-member of the elite Writers’ Guild of America, an organization with fewer than 8,000 members worldwide.  Jim recently wrote, produced and Executive Produced (this means he wrote the check) an international feature film entitled, THE WRITER, shot in Los Angeles and Paris that releases in 2010.  He currently has a feature comedy in pre-production with Gold Circle Films in Beverly Hills scheduled to shoot in summer of 2009.  To date Jim is the only known executive working in the advertising industry with credentials of this magnitude in both advertising/marketing and Hollywood entertainment, making him unusually well suited as a creator and director of entertainment-driven marketing.
