Tom Murtagh, Project Director
Tom Murtagh oversees social marketing campaigns for MC. His path to online social marketing expert was as unconventional as it is impressive. As an accomplished screenwriter and real estate investor, Tom began utilizing his skills to write engaging content about real estate ownership. Tom began to email his weekly ruminations to several friends, who in turn began to send them around. This led to people asking to be included in his email list. Tom immediately recognized the power of email and began to reach out to through his readership to build a greater presence among the real estate community in New England. His experience creating this social network provided him the base of knowledge to build organic communities with new tools that the growth of the internet presented.
In 2006, Tom recognized the power of the internet to build kinships of like minded individuals. Utilizing forums and the emerging presence social sites like Facebook and LinkedIn Tom created a loose network of several thousand buyers and sellers of rental properties in New England.
In 2008, Tom joined Mission Control to build on his knowledge of social networking. During the next year he spent time developing and testing programs to increase organic exposure of content on the many platforms which emerged.
